Brighton

One of the things we both wanted to do while we were down in this area, was visit Brighton, and best of all I was going as Lesley, convinced we would see lots of other girls, and while in the end it was disappointing in that we only saw one other girl, the day it self was fantastic, so crowded though, the weather was fantastic, and brought out the crowds, we saw all of human life there I think.

I got myself ready early as usual, love to look my best when facing the public lol, and off we went, the traffic was a nightmare, but eventually we got there of, safe if a little frazzled, parked the car and got our bearings.

Walked along to the Laines, such an atmosphere, all kinds of people about, finally found a little street café for lunch, siting at tables in a crowded cafe in the street, nice to watch the world as it goes about its business, then a long and thorough peruse of the shops and stalls in the Laines, some wonderfully odd people there (who am I to talk!) bought some earrings for B and she bought me a ring, the stall holders were all so friendly and nice and kind to me, always ready to chat and tell us about their wares, lost count of how many shops and stores we went into and all the people we talked to, so crowded, but so much fun being out as Lesley in the real world.

Then we walked down to the sea front where we promenaded along in the crowds, it was absolutely packed, such a gorgeous hot sunny day, luckily my makeup didn’t run, we wandered about like tourists do, goggling at the sights and the places, then we went onto the pier and then walked its  length of the pier B taking pics of me as we went, then as our feet were aching, we found a shady spot and had an ice cream, B sent me to fetch them, had to stand in quite a queue and wait, girl who served me was nice and chatty though, we sat and people watched for ages, loved it, then we continued along the front, for a while before deciding to leave, it was so hot.

Walked back past the Pavilion, would have loved to go in, but that’s for another day, again it was so nice just wandering the people packed streets, such a vibrant place, so full of life

Drove along the coast with the top down, and the wind in my wig, ended up in  Eastbourne, where we parked, had a walk along the prom, looking for somewhere to get a drink,  had coffee on a lovely seafront cafe by the pier, nice to relax and watch the sea, while we sipped our coffee and ate our ices, then a wander around the stalls on the prom by the pier they were , still open although starting to close, had another promenade along the pier, saw a beautiful Victorian tea rooms there, unfortunately just closing, Lesley needs to go again when its open!, we sat for a while watching the waves, and thought we might find a restaurant for tea, but the evening was so lovely, B suggested we got Fish and Chips on the pier, she went and bought them, while I got us  a table looking over the sea, such fun to enjoy our food by the seaside

We didn’t leave till dusk was coming in, both of us tired but very happy with our full day out.
