Two Days in Bristol as Lesley

B and I decided that we needed a bit of retail therapy, so thought we might book a night away in Bristol, do the shops and docks, enjoy ourselves, and best of all B said it could be Lesley time.

So early on the Saturday morning, I’m up, showered, de-haired all over, and dressed, decided to go for a red short sleeved top, black cardi, m & S beige tartan mini, black opaque’s, black boots, all under my beige coat, made up, perfumed and jewelled and ready.

We set off, had decided to stop at Gloucester Services for a brunch and a look around, fun driving there as Lesley, so much more polite as a driver when I’m her. Services were quiet, so parked ok, and went in, visited the ladies first, then into the café, we decided what we wanted, two cheese scones, two skinny lattes and a mince pie between us, B went and sat down while I waited in the queue, loved being there, the lady that served me was so nice, smiled beautifully as she served me.

We ate and chatted as ladies do, and then had a look around the shop, such a nice place with all the fresh food, and lovely gifts, we had a very pleasant ½ hour looking around.

Then on to Bristol, parked in the multi-story next to Cabot Circus, final look in the mirror to check my make up, and off we went, the sound of our heels clattering over the glass bridge, made me feel so fem, down the stairs to the ground floor, needed the ladies again (why do I need to go more as Lesley?) then we decided Primark was the number one priority, walked down through the centre, very busy, but felt ok, we had a great time in Primark, loads of stuff there to try, I found a pair of OTK boots for £10.00, impractically high for going out in, but for at home!! Had to have them, also found a lovely coat for a tenner, bought some jewellery, tights, and a couple of tops, B found a lot of stuff to, so she sent me to buy them all and pay, heaven.

Needed some lipstick, so bought that in Superdrug, had a look around Debenhams, New Look, Next etc., and wandered the centre to our hearts content, stopped at the Costa, for coffee, B allowed me a gingerbread latte with cream, I will be getting fat at this rate.

By now we were getting a little tired and shopped out, so made our way back to the car, we drove to the hotel, and checked in, nice room, so we lay on the bed and relaxed a little before trying on all our buys, B did look nice in her new stuff, and I loved my boots and coat.

We had decided to eat out on the waterside, so about 7 o’clock I changed, jeans, black long sleeved top under my blue long top, and different boots, (not my new ones they would have killed me on the cobles lol), we walked down to the waterside are, and wandered about, lovely to see it all lit up for Christmas, we decided to eat in Weatherspoon’s, very busy, but found a table on the second floor looking over the docks, had a drink to start with, then ordered our starter and main, so gorgeous to be sitting there in full view of the public, eating, drinking and talking with the one I love.

Then a stagger back to the hotel!

Next day up early again, this time dressed in a long sleeved red top, long pale blue skirt tan tights, and my new coat, painted perfumed etc., before B was up.  Neither of us was hungry so we skipped breakfast and set off to explore the docks in daylight, they really have made such a nice job of it, a great mix of museums eating places, etc., we loved it, walked down past Mshed and to the Great Britain had a look around, fascinating place, and after all that, we needed coffee and cake in the café there.

Walked slowly back to the car b taking lots of pics of me, my boots were rubbing my heel a little, so nice to sit down from time to time and take in the view, even though it was cold.

B wanted to go to Clifton in the afternoon, so we drove up there, drove over the bridge, and parked, I changed my boots and we walked back over the bridge, always love it there, very atmospheric place, we wandered the shops, browsing, and looking around, went into the charity shops that were open, but nothing took our eye, but such a nice place, walked around the old churchyard, and then into the arcade, love the feel of it there, don’t know why, it’s just so nice.

By this time, we were hungry again, so lunched in Café Nero’s, wanted to try the one of the various Delis there, but they were all packed. Still a sandwich there was nice.

Getting late now, so walked back up to the bridge, and found the car, b drive as far as Gloucester services where we stopped off for the ladies, and a look around, before carrying on to home
