Lesley travels South
B and I were of for our holidays, had quite a few things planned for Lesley, and best of all, B said I could travel as Lesley, always a great start to any holiday, so up nice and early to get ready, shave and shower, then sorted my make up and clothes, we had packed the car last night, so all we had to do was jump in and off we went.
B drove all the way to Beconsfield Services, lovely drive hardly any traffic, nice for me to sit and chat with her as she drove about nice girly things, we parked and went into the services, we both needed the ladies first of all, then we sat in Starbucks and has a coffee and Danish, so lovely just being out in the real world just blending in, no looks or anything from any one, so must have looked ok.We sat and chatted about what we were going to do, and all our plans for the hols,
Then I drove, we were going to Down house, Charles Darwins place, in Kent, again lucky with the traffic, the M25 was solid going the other way, but after a while we got there ok, the nice man on the gate stopped us and had a chat about we were lucky as the car park was full, but one was just leaving, ect, then directed me into the last parking place. B went in first, and then I followed, the morning had been cool & damp, so I had started in boots, but changed into my wedge heeled shoes. In reception, very nice young chap on the entrance, very chatty, had I been there before? would I like a guide book? start this way ect, but he was friendly, and called me young lady, so I liked him!
B and I wandered around together, fascinating place a well as a fascinating chap, wonder what he would have made of girls like us in Origin of the Species? Just enjoyed looking around the house and exhibition, loads of visitors, but all ok, I just mingled, only trouble was we couldn’t take pics in most rooms in the house. The gardens were beautiful too, you could still imaging Darwin wandering around them, thinking his thoughts and working out his theories. Such lovely plants and beds, so relaxing to be in a garden, B did manage to get one pic of me in Darwins bedroom, not sure he would approve!!
We had lunch in the cafe, shared a sandwich, with salad and crisps, sitting in the courtyard, again, its just so nice to be able to relax and enjoy the world as a woman, then a final wander in the gardens, lovely weather, and a sit in cane chairs under the veranda, before we set off again.
We needed to do a weekly shop, not much room in the car as Lesley had rather got carried away with the packing, but found the Tescos at Tunbridge Well, and had a happy half hour, pushing the trolly around, getting our things, pretending to be a house wife, or better still escaping from being a normal housewife and off with my lesbian lover for a couple of weeks, lol We just got enough for a couple of days to start with, plenty of wine anyway lol.
Now we are here, I have unpacked all our things, and i,m cooking tea for us both, changed into a new long dress B found for me the other day, very nice and swishey with long slits to above my knees, and feeling very relaxed
