Evening out in Stratford

B and I decided we wanted an adventure, not just a normal night out, but a full night, with a few different things, so I did a bit of planning.

By the time B got home from work on Friday afternoon, I was ready, showered, shaved, painted, perfumed and dressed, had decided on tweed mini, pink top, black opaque’s black bots, best hair, and a new scarf under my grey coat.

B gave me a kiss, and said how nice I looked, and went upstairs to change, “Hurry up we don’t want to miss the train” I called after her, “no problem” she said

Well in about 15 minutes we were at the station, rushing for the 4 50 to Stratford, made it just in  time, I quickly bought the tickets from the machine, and we hurried down to the platform, with a few minutes to spare, not many folks waiting, but when the train arrived, it was quite full, still we managed to get seats together, and sat and chattered away as ladies do, loving the journey, I do love being on public transport as Lesley, makes me feel so good.

All to soon we rived in Stratford, packed platforms of those going home after work, we were of to enjoy ourselves, we wandered down into town, to the pictures, so nice to be out in the flurry of rush hour, we were off to see “The Viceroys House”, got there early, so decided on coffee and cake in the bar, felt good, and seemed to be blending in ok, again we sat and chatted, till it was time for the film.

Been to Stratford Cinema a few times now, and this time it was packed, we got the last two seats together, really enjoyed the film, very well made and full of life, makes you think too, why cant people just get on with each other, why is there so much bias, aggravation and violence in this world? Says it all, that for the first time in ages, no one got up to leave before the credits finished rolling, instead of rushing out.

Anyway, we waited till the crush had died down, visited the Ladies, and walked down to waterside, we were heading for Carluccios, for a meal and a drink, loads of folks about as we made our way through, “Table for two”, we asked, “certainly Ladies, follow me” (I love that, when I,m called a lady lol) The nice lady took us to a table right in the middle, but it was lovely, the tables either side of us were empty, so felt relaxed, she gave us menus, chatted a bit about what wasn’t available, and took our drinks order.

We decided on our meals, the lovely lady bought our drinks, and took our order, I have to say just how nice she was, not phased by me at al, talking to me as well as B, as if we were valued customers, there are so many nice people in this world. B and I love people watching, and had a great time, looking around and commenting, there were a couple opposite us who were having a good look at me, but so what, I was too busy enjoying myself to care.

Our meal arrived, and we ordered more drinks, B was going to only have a small glass, but I ordered two large glasses of wine, we sat, we ate, we drank, we chatted, the time flying by, the couple who had read me had a real good look as they left, but no problems, the lady waitress, was very attentive, and couldn’t have looked after us better.

After the meal, we had coffee, too full for a sweet, and the paid the bill, leaving a tip for our waitress, who had a nice chat with us as we paid.

We were both a little drunk, and I had to put my arm through Bs, to support her a little, on the way back to the station, couldn’t be late, it was the last train, she doesn’t normally like to walk arm in arm as ladies, but by now she was too relaxed to care, so I made the most of it. We caught the train, and collapsed into a seat, giggling like schoolgirls, I loved being girls together, and loved putting my hand on Bs leg as if we were lady lovers. Talking and giggling together all the way home, don’t know what the ticket inspector thought

Then a walk from the train to the carpark, hand in hand, and home to bed, what a truly gorgeous evening
