Day Three

Well when we awoke in the morning, it was a bit of a nasty day, windy and rain in the air so we decided to have an easy morning and then just before lunch go out.

We both wanted to see the new Dan Brown film, so B looked for a local cinema, looked like there was one in Bournemouth, B booked the tickets, and also decided to book us a table at Ask Italian, for the evening, I got myself ready, decided to wear my new long leather look skirt, along with my pink top, with black boots.

Still raining, so we decided to set off and take in lunch on the way, drove down into Poole, no getting out of the car on the ferry today, and then along the harbour, both of us had said that we fancied a walk along the beach at Poole, parked the car and went first of all to the Sandbanks Café, my word it was full, but just managed to get a table by the window, had a lovely lunch there chatting away, like ladies do. Still raining, so apart from a walk along the front we decided to head into Bournemouth, I had wanted to take some pics in the Chines, but with the weather so horrible it wasnt worth it

Had a drive around and then found the cinema, it was on a retail park, so had a wander around to see what was there, we bought some sweets for the film, and went in, we were a bit early so had to wait in the foyer, found a seat and people watched for a while, fascinating!

Well we enjoyed the film, the usual hokum but fun to watch, the cinema was pretty empty, so had some decent seats, fun siting there in the dark with B holding hands together.

By the time we came out of the film, it was getting dark, the rush hour was on so took us ages to find the restaurant, but got there in the end, parked in a multi-story and walked up the road, not a particularly salubrious area, so we were a bit wary but ok in the end.

The chap on reception showed us to our table “This way Ladies” I love that. Sat us down and asked what we would like to drink, we each chose the same, a large glass of Pinot Griggo, he left us with menus and we sat and chose our meals, nice bread to start, then bolognas for me and a pitza for B, so lovely just sitting there chattering away in the midst of all the other diners enjoying their meals

The waiter bought our starter, and had a chat with us, asking us about our day, where we had been, think he quite fancied B cheek, shes mine! Then our mains arrived, the waiter bought the pepper and put some on my meal, so nice and kind, I could almost forgive him eyeing up B. I loved just being there in the ambiance of it all, lovely meal too.

We both decided that we had a little room for a sweet, so the waiter bought the menus again, and we perused them, finally deciding what to have, we ordered two coffees to go with it, we lingered over our sweet and coffee, talking about what we had been up to, and plans for the other days of our holidays, all to soon it seemed the meal was over and time to go home, we paid the bill, giving him a nice tip for all his pleasantness, and he helped me into my coat, didn’t pinch my bottom though, bit disappointed there, is that sexist do you think?

Driving home, we both decided that we needed a walk to settle our dinner, so parked on the seafront and strolled along, arm in arm, lovely mild night, with the sound of the waves and the salty smell of the sea, it was a perfect romantic end to my day as Lesley
