On Holiday as Lesley

B had organised a few days away and as I had been such a good girl lately, Lesley could come along and get out and about as much as possible.

So the Saturday finds me getting ready early showered, shaved all over made up and dressed and ready to go, we had decided to set off early and have a breakfast in Stow on the Wold, off we went, B driving with me chattering away as we drove through the countyside, its so wonderful to be out as Lesley, pretending we were two friends away for a nice time.

We parked in the Tescos car park at the top of Stowe and wandered down through the town ,love looking in a housy shop or two as Lesley, and we had a nice look around, then ending up at Huffkins, the nice chap was so welcoming us, “Table for two Ladies” “ yes please2 and he showed us to our table, we both ordered a cheese scone and Latte, sitting people watching, and chatting, as we arte and drank, then after a visit to the ladies, we did the round of the charity shops, but rather expensive for us.

Then on again, we had decided to stop next in Salisbury, not too much traffic so we made good time, and parked at the Park & Ride, ready for another visit to the loo! We caught the bus, B asking me to pay as she sat down and took my pic, then a pleasant ride into Salisbury, we had decided to go to Mompession House, not been there before so we walked from the bus to Cathedral Close, have to say we did stop off at one charity shop, where B bought some shoes, and I tried on a leather jacket, but found the sleeves too short, Arriving at Mompession House, a nice chatty lady on reception telling us all about the house, such a lovely place, we both decided we could move straight in, the room guides were very nice to, didn’t look at me strangely so cant have looked too bad, and they told us all about the place

After a look around the gardens we decided to visit the cathedral coffee shop, so we walked through the close, with B taking pics on the way, we had a nice look around the cathedral, and then found the café, B sent me to order and we settled on a cream tea between us, so lovely sitting there watching the world around us. We had a look around the shop and bought some very early presents.

Getting on a bit now, so back to the bus, had to wait for ages in a big queue but felt ok about it, sitting on the crowded bus was a bit nerve wracking, but all ok. Then on to the final drive down to the coast, we had the keys to the cottage so could go straight in, we arrived and as B was rather tired, I unpacked all my stuff, and made the bed, as B relaxed, bit later after I had changed my outfit, we decided to go into town we were going to buy fish & chips, and sit on the front and eat, but there was a huge queue so decided to go to the Harry Ramsdens  restaurant, the chap on the door was so nice, showing us to a table for two, after a short wait, then we ordered and got ourselves a large glass of wine each, we both felt quite relaxed and ate and drank, just two ladies out for an evening, nice food, nice drink and lovely company.

Afterwards we had another drink in a pub, and then a bit of grocery shopping at Budgens before heading back to the cottage for a nice nightcap.

First day over way too soon, but what a lovely day and more to look forward to
